Experience in managing EKG rhythm identification and non-titrating cardiac drips.
Description:
The Registered Nurse will work in a medical and telemetry unit.
The average daily census is 16-18 patients.
The unit has 24 beds.
Staffing ratios for nights are 1 nurse to 5 patients.
This role includes care for acutely ill adults and geriatric patients.
Patients may require telemetry monitoring for non-acute cardiac conditions.
The nurse will perform pre- and post-procedure evaluation and care.
Duties include neurological assessment and care of stroke or transient ischemic attack patients.
The role excludes patients with active gastrointestinal bleeding and uncontrolled ischemic chest pain.
Medications managed include non-titrating cardiac drips and insulin drips.
The nurse will be responsible for advanced medication infusion without increasing titration.
Decreases or weaning of medications is permitted.
Physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy provide interdisciplinary support.
Travelers must have facial hair that allows for proper fit testing or will be expected to shave.
Compliance deadlines must be met to avoid delays in starting.
All time off requests must be finalized at the time of submission.
Mid-contract cancellations for different assignments are not permitted.
