Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical Telemetry Duration: 15 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required License: Current nursing license required Certifications: BCLS and NIH certification required Must-Have: Telemetry experience Description: Position available for a Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse. The shift is a night schedule. Patient ratios are typically 1:4 to 1:5. First-time travelers are accepted. Weekend work is required as per the posted schedule. The unit provides care for medical-surgical patients with telemetry needs. Experience with telemetry drips, NIHSS assessments, and IV insulin protocols is necessary. Registered Nurse will perform remote telemetry monitoring as well. The unit consists of a daily census of approximately 36 patients, providing care for adults and geriatrics. Interdisciplinary support is available from various teams including IV, physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. The registered nurse will be responsible for monitoring patients with various diagnoses including strokes and medical/surgical conditions. There will be opportunities to engage in additional training relevant to the unit's specialized procedures. Candidates must be adaptable to float within the hospital as needed. Previous charge experience is preferred. This role requires proficiency in the electronic charting system. References may be required upon submission of an application.
