Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a hospital setting License: Active RN License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - 2 years experience in a hospital setting - Active RN License - ACLS - BLS Description: 2 years of experience in a hospital setting is required. Candidates must have an active license. The unit has 47 beds comprising 23 semi-private rooms and 1 private room. Staff includes a Charge Nurse, RNs, LNAs, a unit clerk, and a Telemetry Tech. Patient ratios are typically 1:5, with the potential to stretch to 1:6. Equipment used includes Pyxis, Alaris Pumps, Bladder Scanners, EKGs, Client Chest Tubes, Dinamaps, and Vein Finders. The EMR system in use is Meditech Expanse. Shifts typically begin at 0645 for days and 1845 for nights. Typical conditions cared for include: - Vascular surgery - Bariatric surgery - General surgery - Telemetry - Peripheral Vascular Disease - Sepsis - Atherosclerosis - GI Bleeds - Chest Tubes - Arrhythmias The best personality fit for this role is a team player, hard worker, multi-tasker, and flexible. Candidates may float to Med-Surg Units or other areas of the hospital if patient levels require it.
