Care Career is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Travel Med-Surg/Telemetry RN assignment, 13-week contract, 26-week minimum if offered with no 13-week option, 3x12-hour night shifts 7:00 PM-7:30 AM, every other weekend, holiday rotation, primarily Med-Surg patient population on a telemetry-capable unit, approximately 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio, travelers may be required to work Charge RN shifts as needed, float required and travelers may float across all Cone Health facilities, Epic required, EKG monitoring and interpretation required, rapid response/code team involvement, blood product administration, peripheral line care, IV starts, Heparin, insulin, PCA, nasal cannula and isolation precautions.
Required: Minimum 2 years RN experience, previous Charge RN experience, travel experience, BLS and NIHSS, active license in hand at submission, Epic experience required by facility despite source listing charting experience as preferred, ability to work 3x12-hour nights, every other weekend and holiday rotation, willingness to work Charge RN shifts, willingness to float across all Cone Health facilities, ability to pass the compliance EKG exam during onboarding with 2 attempts allowed, RTO must be submitted with application with no post-submission RTO accepted, no local candidates within 50 miles, current driver's license required for address verification, third-party education verification required, no open background cases, COVID-19 vaccination required with medical/religious exemptions only, flu vaccination required with medical/religious exemptions only. Required clinical skills include Med-Surg, MS/Tele, dysrhythmia/EKG interpretation, blood product administration, peripheral line management, IV starts, Heparin, insulin, IV insulin protocols, PCA, isolation precautions, rapid response/code team use and nasal cannula. Additional skills listed include BiPAP/CPAP, colostomy/ileostomy, feeding tube, PICC, oral suctioning, surgical drains and wound care/wound vac.
