Registered Nurse (RN) - Med-Surg/Telemetry

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a Med-Surg/Telemetry unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working effectively with interdisciplinary teams.

Position Information

  • Department: M2 Ortho
  • Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
  • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • Call Requirements: None
  • Required Certifications: BLS & RN License
  • Years of Experience: 2+
  • Float Requirements: May float to all sister units

Unit Information

  • Patient Ratios: 1:4-5
  • Equipment: Baxter IV pumps, SIGMA Spectrum Infusion System
  • EMR: Omnicell, EPIC
  • Patient Population: Adult, Geriatric

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, assessment, and effective management of patients in a telemetry setting.
  • Monitor and interpret telemetry readings.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high standards of care.
  • Participate in patient education and discharge planning.

Qualifications

  • Must Have Skills/Experience:
    • Telemetry experience
    • Ability to interpret dysrhythmias
    • Management of dysrhythmias
  • Common Diagnoses/Treatments:
    • Total Hip Replacement
    • Total Knee Replacement
    • Total Shoulder Replacement
    • Hip Fracture
    • Spine Surgery
    • Trauma Surgery
    • General Medical/Surgical Overflow
  • Education: Valid RN license and relevant education in nursing required.

Scrub color: Navy Blue
