Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit. The clinician will be responsible for providing care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions. Patient ratios are typically 1:5 on this unit. Responsibilities include monitoring telemetry patients and managing cardiac dysrhythmias. The clinician must administer medications, including managing cardiac drips without titration. Candidates should be familiar with high-flow nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management. Experience in pre and post-operative care for neurosurgery and other complex medical procedures is required. Nurses will be expected to follow infection control protocols and perform wound care as needed. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is essential for providing comprehensive patient care. Professionalism and a commitment to patient safety are mandatory in this role. Regular floating may be required between departments and units to meet patient care needs.
