# Job Opportunity – Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse – New YorkStart Date: October 12, 2026
Location: Upstate New York

Schedule: 1:9 patient ratio all shifts, every other weekend or 4 weekend shifts per month required, float to other medical-surgical units as neededHighlights:
  • Collaborative care delivery model using interdisciplinary teams of RN, LPN, and PCT for comprehensive patient care
  • Typical medical-surgical telemetry case mix including respiratory, cardiac, GI, neuro, and orthopedic overflow patients
  • Primarily geriatric patient population in a 37-bed unit with average daily census of 30 patients
  • Epic EMR experience required; 12 hours of orientation provided
  • Strong interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
  • First-time travelers welcome with minimum 2 years of RN experience
Requirements:
  • Active New York RN license required at time of submission
  • Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical or telemetry experience
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Epic charting system experience is required
  • Previous charge nurse experience preferred
  • Community hospital experience preferred
  • Must reside more than 75 miles from facility location
  • Clinical skills must include telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management, blood product administration, central line care, and proficiency with BiPAP/CPAP management
