# Job Opportunity – Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse – New York
Start Date: October 12, 2026
Location: Upstate New York
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 1:9 patient ratio all shifts, every other weekend or 4 weekend shifts per month required, float to other medical-surgical units as needed
Highlights:- Collaborative care delivery model using interdisciplinary teams of RN, LPN, and PCT for comprehensive patient care
- Typical medical-surgical telemetry case mix including respiratory, cardiac, GI, neuro, and orthopedic overflow patients
- Primarily geriatric patient population in a 37-bed unit with average daily census of 30 patients
- Epic EMR experience required; 12 hours of orientation provided
- Strong interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- First-time travelers welcome with minimum 2 years of RN experience
Requirements:- Active New York RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical or telemetry experience
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Epic charting system experience is required
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Must reside more than 75 miles from facility location
- Clinical skills must include telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management, blood product administration, central line care, and proficiency with BiPAP/CPAP management
