Assignment Details
- Specialty: Med/Surg Telemetry
- Shift: Days
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
- Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
- Call: None
- Unit: Acute Care
- Unit Size: 31 beds
- Patient Ratio: 1:5
- Patient Population: Adult and geriatric
- EMR: Cerner
- Trauma Level: Level IV
- Floating: As appropriate based on experience
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Tele experience
- BLS
- ACLS
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Associate degree or higher
Required Skills
Candidates should be comfortable with:
- NG tube placement and management
- Foley catheter placement and management
- Chest tube maintenance
- Med/Surg and telemetry patient care
- Adapting to changing patient needs and unit workflow
Preferred
- Cerner experience
- NIHSS certification
- Strong communication skills
- Flexible, outgoing, team-oriented personality
