Description:
Registered Nurse in a fast-paced, high volume care setting.
Position requires strong competency in Medical/Surgical and Telemetry nursing.
Experience with various patient diagnoses including adults and geriatrics.
A variety of patient care responsibilities will be required.
Floating may be necessary within the specialty.
Every other weekend and holiday shifts are required.
Expected patient ratios: 1:5 on days, 1:4 on weekends.
Candidate must demonstrate proficiency in accessing and managing ports, managing BiPAP/CPAP, and administering blood products.
Monitoring telemetry and managing Vasoactive drips is necessary.
Must be competent in isolation precautions and understand the interpretation of dysrhythmias.
Ability to manage high flow nasal cannula and perform procedural sedation is essential.
Nursing duties may also include wound care, phlebotomy, and post-operative management.
Candidates must feel comfortable floating within their scope when needed.
Documentation must be kept up to date in accordance with policies and procedures.
Clear communication with interdisciplinary teams will be integral to daily operations.
