Description:
Traveler will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance.
A basic dysrhythmia test will be administered during the first week of assignment.
This must be passed to work on the telemetry/med-surg unit.
Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
Coordinates care with other health team members.
Effectively interacts with patients and significant others while maintaining high standards of professional nursing.
Provides high-quality care to geriatric, adult, medical/surgical, and telemetry patient populations.
Estimated work week is 36 hours.
Floating to other units may be required at times.
While not part of a regular call rotation, the traveler may occasionally be placed on call during low census periods.
If called in, the traveler is expected to respond and arrive on-site within one hour.
Telemetry ratios are currently 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights.
Floating is a requirement for any non-critical care inpatient units.
