The nurse will be responsible for providing care to adult and geriatric patients. The average daily census will be 22 patients. Patient-to-nurse ratios will be 1 to 5. The nurse must be comfortable recognizing changes in health status. Experience in managing chronic ventilated patients is required. The role includes working weekends and holidays as scheduled. Floating within specialty and lower acuity as needed is required. Applicants must have experience with the EPIC charting system. Required skills include care of ventilated patients and managing cardiac drips. CPI certification is also preferred. Nurses will work with an interdisciplinary team including physical therapy and respiratory services. All applicants must have a valid state nursing license upon submission. Compliance documents must be completed prior to the start date.
