Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Med/Surg and Telemetry. This position involves working day shifts, three days per week. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of acute care experience. First-time travelers will be accepted as long as the experience requirements are met. Weekend shifts are required based on unit needs. Candidates will be expected to float to sister units as needed, although this is rare. The unit has a total of 19 staffed beds. The nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:5 to 1:6 and may flex based on staffing and unit demands. Candidates must be comfortable managing various patient diagnoses, including medical oncology and general med/surg. Interdisciplinary support for this role includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Candidates should be proficient in various nursing skills, including telemonitoring, IV management, and oxygen administration. Modules are required to be completed within the first week of the assignment. Travelers are responsible for checking communications and following up with unit leaders for questions.
