Description: This position involves floating throughout the hospital to various Med/Surg Tele areas. The RN will be responsible for cardiac monitoring, managing cardiac drips, and interpreting telemetry strips. Experience with TR Band is required. The clinician-to-patient ratio is up to 5:1 during days and evenings, and up to 6:1 at night. The patient population includes emergency department border patients and non-vented patients who are transfer-ready in the ICU. Units range in size from 8 to 41 beds. Rotation requirements include potential day/evening shifts and occasional night rotations. The electronic medical record system in use is EPIC. Two years of traveler experience is preferred. Telemetry monitoring skills, including measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours, are essential.
