Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, rotating days/nights or nights only based on departmental needs. Shift assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period. Float requirements to equivalent or lower acuity units. One pre-approved time off period available.

Highlights:

  • 36-bed medical/surgical oncology unit specializing in adolescent and young adult (AYA) patient population
  • Patient ratio 1:4 with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory services, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
  • Epic EMR system with 72 hours of orientation provided
  • Common diagnoses include breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, colon, and esophageal cancers, plus sickle cell crises
  • Continuous cardiac monitoring related to chemotherapy administration and symptom management
  • Equipment includes GE telemetry system, Alaris pumps, bladder scanners, and Stryker beds

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years acute care RN experience required (must be current within the last 12 months)
  • Valid compact or Ohio RN license in hand at time of submission
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Previous travel experience preferred
  • Oncology experience preferred but not required
  • Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
  • Skills required: dysrhythmia interpretation and management, port access, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line and PICC line care, IV starts, chest tube assistance, high flow nasal cannula, ABG interpretation
  • Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
  • 2 professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership role)
