Traveler must be willing to float to any unit within their scope of practice. The nurse may be asked to work as a backup Charge Nurse. Coordinates total nursing care for patients. Participates in patient and family teaching. Provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel. Maintains standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 to 4/5. The average daily patient census is 22. Requests for time off during the assignment must be noted at the time of submission. No more than 5 days of requests for time off will be accepted. Travelers may not request all holidays off. Must work designated holiday blocks. This is a small community without public transport. Traveler candidates must have their own vehicles. Perm address must be included in the profile. All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission. Requests after the offer may lead to rescinded offers. It is mandatory to document skills checklist pertaining to medical surgical nursing. Must provide at least one supervisory-signed reference from within the past two years of employment. The call-off policy allows for termination after 3 call-offs due to lack of attendance. Call is required for this position. Every other weekend and holidays may be required if needed.
