Do not upload a traveler who will request schedule accommodations. May be asked to work as a backup Charge Nurse. Coordinates total nursing care for patients. Participates in patient and family teaching. Provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel to maintain professional nursing standards in the clinical setting. The nurse to patient ratio is 1 to 4 or 5. The average daily patient census is 22. Requested time off (RTO) during this assignment must be noted and verified at the time of upload. RTO requests after upload will not be approved. No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted. Travelers may not take all holidays off. Must work two blocks if scheduled/needed, including specific holidays. Local travelers residing within 50 miles are not eligible for this need. Candidates must have their own vehicle. This is a firm requirement. Call is required for this need. Do not upload a traveler who will not take call. Charge RN experience is required and non-negotiable. Candidates may float between Acute Rehab and Med Surg as well as to any unit within their scope of practice. All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission. The facility will not approve scheduling requests after the time of the offer. Profile requirements include a skills checklist specific to medical surgical nursing. At least one supervisory-signed reference from the past two years of employment is needed. Each absence must be communicated to the unit supervisor at least 1.5 hours in advance. After three call-offs, a traveler's contract will be eligible for termination due to lack of attendance. Every other weekend and holiday availability is required if needed.
