Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Unit Description

This is a 41-bed Medical Telemetry unit dedicated to providing high-quality care to patients with diverse medical needs.

Job Details

Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years of experience working in one location and 2 years as a Traveler.
Floating Requirement: Travelers are expected to float to applicable units as needed.
Shift Rotation: Night positions are straight nights; rotating shifts may include days and evening hours.
Nurse-Patient Ratio:
- Days: 1 to 4/5
- Eves & Nights: 1 to 5/6
Patient Population: Cardiac, Respiratory, Metabolic, Psych, Substance Use Disorder, GU, & GI.
Bed Count: 41
Census: 41

Technical Requirements

Skill Sets Required: Cardiac Telemetry, Cardiac Drips, Ability to Interpret Telemetry Strips, TR Bands, Hi-Flow Oxygen.
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: EPIC.
Certifications Required: Current RN License in Massachusetts, AHA Certified BLS, and ACLS.

Qualifications

Must possess the skills to read and interpret telemetry strips.
Ability to manage various patient populations with diverse health conditions.
