**Exciting Travel RN Opportunity in Neuro Medical Surgical / Telemetry!**
**Job Description:**
- **Position:** Travel Registered Nurse (RN) in Neuro Medical Surgical / Telemetry
- **Start:** ASAP
- **Duration:** 13 Weeks
- **Shift Options:**
- Days: 7A-7P
- Nights: 7P-7A
- Every other weekend required
- **Max RTO:** Up to 1 week (pre-approved)
- **Floating Required:** Yes, to other med-surg or tele units when necessary
- **Block Scheduling:** Accepted, must include every other weekend
**Requirements:**
- Valid RN IN licensure
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (can be obtained during the first week of orientation)
- Required Skills:
- Keen neuro assessments
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Drain management expertise
- Experience: 1-2 years in a similar setting
- EMR: Cerner
- Scope of Role:
- Manage higher med-surg acuity with post-op spinal surgeries and level 2 trauma patients
- Provide care for level 1 trauma post-ICU patients
- Treat stroke patients and other conditions like DKA, renal failure, and general post-op care
- Facility Details:
- Number of Beds: 396
- Number of Beds in Unit: 24
- Monthly Department Volume: 24
- Patient Ratio: 5:1 or 6:1
**Submission Requirements:**
- Attach required license and certifications or risk rejection
- Include driver’s license and permanent home address (must match ID)
- Candidates must be greater than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be accepted
