Start date is as soon as possible. Average patient ratios are 1:5. First-time travelers are accepted. Weekend coverage required every other weekend. Floating to help meet facility needs is expected within scope of practice. Pending licenses accepted as long as they are active prior to start date. Time off requests greater than 7 days require approval. Facility is a Short Term Acute Care Level I Trauma Center. Total staffed beds amount to 1,567. Daily census averages 24 patients. Unit provides care for adults and geriatrics. Special procedures include care for post-operative vascular, podiatry cases, and more. Patients may have complex diagnoses including dysrhythmias, diabetes, kidney disease, and more. Interdisciplinary support is available, including IV teams, physical therapy, and pharmacy services. Nurses will be responsible for central line care and management, telemetry, and wound care. Candidate must apply for required licensure prior to submission. Candidates located within 75 miles of the facility will not be considered. One reference is required for application. Candidates must have been gone for 2 years to return as a traveler. All modules must be completed pre-start and annually as required by specialty.
