• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts; typically 3 shifts per week
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Orientation: 72 hours
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040
• Charting System: Epic

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience required
• Recent acute care experience must be current and consistent within the last 12 months
• Experience in Med/Surg Tele or a closely related acute care setting required
• Epic EHR experience required
• Active compact or Ohio RN license in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program required
• Ability to provide 2 professional references, including at least 1 manager, director, or supervisor reference
• Willingness to complete credentialing and fingerprinting requirements promptly after acceptance
• Ability to float to comparable Med/Surg Oncology units as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric oncology patients
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Support patients receiving chemotherapy, diagnostic services, and symptom management
• Manage common oncology-related needs, including infection prevention, fall prevention, and comorbidity support
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and unit protocols
• Use clinical judgment to prioritize care for a patient load of 4 patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated, patient-centered care
• Safely use unit equipment such as telemetry monitors, bladder scanners, and infusion pumps
• Float to other Med/Surg Oncology units when staffing needs require it
