• Float: May float to other Med/Surg oncology units as needed

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Recent acute care experience in the specialty, with consistent work within the last 12 months
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Experience using Epic charting
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with variable weekend coverage
• Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with complex medical-surgical and oncology needs
• Monitor telemetry rhythms, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer chemotherapy and monitor for adverse reactions
• Support specialized care including clinical trials, brachytherapy, CBI, and neobladder management
• Perform infection prevention interventions and support patient fall prevention initiatives
• Manage IV therapy, blood product administration, central line care, feeding tube care, and related nursing treatments
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including pharmacy, respiratory services, physical therapy, radiology, social services, and rapid response resources
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Epic
• Deliver safe, compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining strong clinical standards
