Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of inpatient acute care nursing experience required
• Current Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• ACLS certification and telemetry nursing skills strongly valued
• Oncology experience preferred, but not required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Must be comfortable floating to units of equivalent or lower acuity

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with a variety of medical, surgical, and oncology-related diagnoses
• Monitor telemetry, interpret rhythm changes, and respond appropriately to patient status updates
• Support infection prevention, fall prevention, and patient safety initiatives on a high-acuity hospital unit
• Manage common Med/Surg Telemetry interventions such as IV therapy, blood products, central lines, PCA pumps, bladder irrigation, and telemetry monitoring
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, rehabilitation, and other interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Document care accurately in Epic and maintain strong communication throughout the shift
• Respond promptly to changing patient needs while maintaining a calm, compassionate bedside presence
