Job Summary

Registered Nurse (RN), Medical-Surgical With Telemetry Nights. This position provides care for adult patients requiring medical-surgical services and cardiac monitoring, including patients diagnosed with sepsis, urinary tract infections, acute kidney injury, pneumonia, cholecystitis, and congestive heart failure. First-time travelers are accepted, and one year of experience is required.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week, 7:00 PM7:30 AM, totaling 36 hours per week. Every other weekend and holidays as scheduled are required. The assignment is scheduled to begin 11/09/2026 and continue for 13 weeks.
  • Required Qualifications: Active Maryland or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license; one year of experience; Basic Life Support (BLS); National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification; and experience with medical-surgical and telemetry nursing, cardiac monitoring, intravenous therapy, central lines, blood products, chest tubes, continuous bladder irrigation, feeding tubes, wound care, noninvasive airway management, oxygen therapy, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, telemetry monitoring, renal failure, hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, insulin, heparin, postoperative care, and rapid response or code teams.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience, charting system experience, and community healthcare facility experience.
  • Additional Information: The unit has 29 beds with a typical patient ratio of 1:5. Patient care includes cardiac monitoring and may involve sepsis, urinary tract infections, acute kidney injury, pneumonia, cholecystitis, and congestive heart failure. Required support services include intravenous therapy, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretarial support. Pre-scheduled on-call shifts are not required. Influenza vaccination is required without exemptions.
