- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
- Shifts per Week: 3
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,930 - $2,030
- Schedule Notes: Every other weekend required; holiday rotation may be needed based on unit needs; floating to other units as staffing requires
Job Requirements
- Active Pennsylvania RN license or multi-state compact RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in medical-surgical nursing, telemetry nursing, or a similar acute care setting
- Experience with post-operative patients preferred, including orthopedics, gynecology, urology, and general surgery
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; bachelor’s degree preferred
- Ability to adapt quickly, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced hospital environment
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care as a Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse under the direction of the licensed physician
- Assess, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care using the nursing process
- Monitor telemetry patients and respond to medical-surgical needs with strong clinical judgment and critical thinking
- Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care team members to promote positive outcomes
- Direct nursing support staff and maintain care in accordance with hospital standards, policies, and procedures
- Support a 20-bed unit with typical ratios of 4-5 patients per nurse
- Float to other inpatient units as needed based on staffing and census demands
- Contribute to a team-focused environment while delivering safe, high-quality acute care nursing
