Candidates must be capable of handling a patient ratio of 1:6. The registered nurse will float to other units within the facility as needed. The typical patient population includes adult and geriatric patients. The unit focuses on total joint patients, surgical patients, and those with acute on chronic medical conditions. Additional conditions treated include CHF, CKD, alcohol withdrawal, SIRS, and GIB. The ideal candidate will possess a compassionate demeanor, a positive attitude, and a "can-do" mentality. Preceptor and charge experience is preferred but not mandatory. The dress code requires black scrubs (top and bottom), and open shoes are not acceptable.
