Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Med Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 24 months of current Med Surg, Tele, or Med/Tele experience is required. License: Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license is required. Certifications: BLS (AHA) ACLS (AHA) Must-Have: - 24 months of experience in Med Surg, Tele, or Med/Tele is required. - Experience with drips/titration including heparin, insulin, diuretics, amiodarone, diltiazem, and 3% saline infusion is required. - Must be able to comfortably and confidently read EKG/ECG, including rhythm strips and dysrhythmia reads. - Experience with EPIC EMR is required. - Must have completed one travel assignment within the previous 12 months. Description: The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing care to patients in a medical-surgical and telemetry setting. The nurse will monitor patients’ vital signs and administer medications and treatments as prescribed. They will be required to float across medical-surgical units, including post-operative recovery. Experience with post-operative surgical care for procedures such as EGD, colonoscopy, cardiac catheterization, and pacemaker insertion is required. The nurse will collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Strong communication skills and a commitment to patient care are essential.
