Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry - $2,140 per week in Rochester, NY

All units are supported by Patient Care Technicians who assist with vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKGs, and activities of daily living. Night shift ratios are expected to be 6-7 patients to 1 nurse, with potential to stretch to 8-10 if staffing issues arise.

Experience in placing IVs. Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Experience with rapid response teams. Description: Registered Nurses in this role will work in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. Night shift ratios are expected to be 6-7 patients to 1 nurse, with potential to stretch to 8-10 if staffing issues arise. All units are supported by Patient Care Technicians who assist with vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKGs, and activities of daily living. RNs will be required to interpret and manage dysrhythmias and perform peripheral line care. Experience with non-invasive airway management and oxygen administration is required. Knowledge of isolation precautions and proper personal protective equipment usage is essential. Charting will be conducted using an electronic health record system. The ideal candidate will be able to float to other units as needed.
