Description:
Position is for a registered nurse specializing in medical surgical/telemetry.
This unit has a 46-bed capacity focusing primarily on trauma surgery, post-bariatric surgery, post-abdominal surgery, post-amputation surgery, and various urological issues.
The unit also accepts overflow patients from medical and cardiac care.
Nurses will be expected to work three 12-hour shifts per week, from 07:00 to 19:30.
Weekend shifts are required every other weekend, and holiday shifts are required every other holiday.
Nurses will receive support from interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.
Key skills required include administering blood products, managing cardiac telemetry, and understanding dysrhythmias.
The nurse should be adept at various procedures such as central line care, managing PCA, and wound care.
Candidates should be proactive in ensuring patient safety and comfort while adhering to hospital protocols.
First-time travelers are accepted for this role.
Travelers must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position.
