TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Prescott, Arizona, 86301!

Job Title: RN II - Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Days Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required Must-Have: - Ability to read basic telemetry strips - Some experience with CVA and TIA - Total joint replacement experience - Cerner experience recommended Description: Clinician must take and pass a dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing the contract. If the clinician fails to score 80% in two attempts, they will be disqualified for a period of 6 months. Candidates may not be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with the system within the past year. The unit has 49 beds with patient ratios of 1:5. Required certifications include BLS and ACLS. Common diagnoses and patient types include CHF, COVID, respiratory conditions, GI issues, diabetes, telemetry monitoring, post-cath patients, and total joint replacements. RNs are required to interpret telemetry strips and document at least once per shift. There are charge nurses and house supervisors present on the unit. Nurse aides are included in the unit with ratios of 1:10-15. Equipment used includes BiPAP, CPAP, and breathing treatments. Self-scheduling is implemented, but the final schedule is balanced by management. Weekend requirements include working 2 weekends per 4-week schedule. Holiday requirements include working 2 days and an evening or 2 evenings and a day during Christmas, New Year's, and Thanksgiving. Floating requirements include potential float to other designated areas if qualified. Scrub color is navy blue. Cancellation policy allows for 4 shifts per contract; 3 shifts if the contract is under 13 weeks. Charting is performed using Cerner.
