Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in Medical/Surgical/Telemetry License: Oregon RN license pending is acceptable Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Experience in the interpretation of cardiac rhythms - Management of dysrhythmias - Management of telemetry - O2 Protocol - Non-invasive airway management - Peripheral line care/management - Isolation precautions/PPE - Rapid response team activation - Epic charting experience Description: The position requires a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical/Surgical/Telemetry. The clinician will float if needed to meet facility needs. Weekend coverage is required every other week. Patient ratios are 1 nurse to 4-6 patients. This role involves caring for patients who present to the Emergency Department and require observation for up to 48 hours. The unit provides a wide range of diagnoses, allowing for exposure to various clinical skills. Common patient conditions include electrolyte imbalances, anemia, chest pain, transient ischemia, and infections. Nurses on this unit will engage with interdisciplinary support teams and participate in the care of patients with distinct diagnoses.
