Must-Have: Telemetry experience, ability to interpret cardiac rhythms, management of dysrhythmias, and isolation precautions
Description:
Position includes responsibilities for the nursing care of patients requiring observation.
Ratios are set at 1 nurse to 4-6 patients.
Candidates with telemetry experience are preferred.
The role involves the monitoring of a wide range of diagnoses, including electrolyte imbalance, chest pain, and respiratory issues.
Nurses will be expected to manage peripheral lines and non-invasive airway management.
Compliance with infection control protocols and rapid response team activation is mandatory.
Candidates may be required to float within the facility.
Weekend shifts are required every other weekend.
The unit is supported by diverse interdisciplinary teams, including IV therapy, respiratory services, and social services.
Nurses will gain exposure to a variety of clinical skills and patient diagnoses.
Previous experience in a similar environment is strongly recommended.
