Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical/Surgical Telemetry

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will have the experience to provide high-quality care to a diverse patient population, with a focus on stroke and neuro patients.

Job Details:

• Shift: 3x12 hours (Day), 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• Schedule: Every other weekend and holidays as needed
• Floating required across all facilities

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily patient care for a variety of patients with multiple co-morbidities.
• Engage in telemetry and remote patient monitoring.
• Provide feeding tube care and management.
• Administer and manage intravenous therapies, including accessing ports and blood product administration.
• Provide care for central and peripheral lines, including PICC line management and starting IVs.
• Apply appropriate isolation precautions and manage wound care, including wound vacs.
• Monitor vital signs and respond to changes in patient conditions.
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6 during shifts.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• BLS and NIH Stroke certification required.
• Proficiency in EPIC electronic health record system.
• Experience in telemetry monitoring is required; experience monitoring patients on the unit is preferred.
