Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry | Night Shift in Princeton, Indiana

Travel Nursing Job Details
- Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
- Location: Princeton, Indiana
- Start Date: October 26, 2026
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,890–$1,990
- Registered Nurse Shift: 12-hour nights, 6:30 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week, excluding applicable orientation and holiday-related exceptions
- Weekend and Holiday Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation
- Patient Assignment: Typically 4–6 patients per nurse
- Electronic Medical Record: EPIC experience highly preferred
- Dress Code: Navy scrubs
- Travel Requirement: Applicants must meet applicable traveler distance requirements for the assignment
Medical-Surgical/Telemetry RN Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse license in Indiana or a Compact RN license
- At least 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience
- Associate degree or nursing certificate required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification
- Current American Heart Association ACLS certification
- Current NIHSS certification
- Successful completion of a 12-lead EKG and dysrhythmia examination
- Demonstrated proficiency with medical-surgical nursing and telemetry patient care
- Strong assessment, communication, prioritization, and clinical judgment skills
Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize dysrhythmias, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, manage IV drips, and perform ongoing nursing assessments
- Initiate peripheral IVs and provide care involving Foley catheters, NG tubes, and tube feedings
- Assist patients with activities of daily living while promoting safety, comfort, and independence
- Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and evaluate individualized care plans
- Accurately document patient care and clinical findings in the electronic medical record
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
- Participate in every other weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled
