The contract length is for 8 weeks. The shift will be nights, working 3 shifts of 12 hours each per week. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience. An active state RN license is required, along with certifications in BLS, ACLS, CPI, and NIH. Every other weekend is required, along with holiday shifts as scheduled. The position will involve floating within the specialty and possibly lower acuity units as needed. Candidates must be comfortable with required tasks including accessing/management of ports, managing BiPAP/CPAP, blood product administration, and cardiac telemetry. Proper management of medical devices, including pacemakers and IVs, is part of the job responsibilities. Up to 4 patients may be assigned per nurse on nights. Interdisciplinary support will be available through various services including IV teams and respiratory services. Compliance with all workplace policies and scheduling requests is necessary.
