Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry - $2,113 per week in Jackson, TN

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (Med Surg/Telemetry) – Tennessee

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Tennessee

Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (night shift). No on-call required. Float to other Med Surg/Tele units or low-acuity ICU as needed. 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule. 36 hours of orientation provided.

• Fast-paced Med Surg/Telemetry floor with 41-bed capacity and average daily census of 36 patients
• 5:1 patient ratio across all shifts (days, nights, weekends)
• Epic EMR system - experience within the last 12 months required
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, respiratory services, and more
• Diverse case mix including CVA, post-MI, cardiac cath, orthopedic trauma, total joint replacement, neurosurgery, TBI, renal failure, and wound care
• 13-week assignment with one pre-approved time-off request available

Requirements:

• Active Tennessee RN license or compact multistate license required at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of Med Surg/Telemetry experience required; travel experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience within the past 12 months required (must be documented on profile with specific details of where Epic was utilized)
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required - all must be in hand at time of submission
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only); Flu vaccination required (no exemptions)
• Two supervisory references required at time of submission
• Successful completion of Epic competency exam required (one attempt allowed)
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred

Core Clinical Skills Required:

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• IV insulin protocols and Heparin protocols
• Central line, PICC line, and peripheral line care/management
• Blood product administration
• BiPAP/CPAP and High Flow Nasal Cannula management
• Tracheostomy care and chest tube management
• Post-MI and pre/post cardiac catheterization care
• CVA, seizure disorder, and traumatic brain injury management
• Orthopedic trauma and total joint replacement care
• Wound care/Wound VAC management
• PCA and peripheral nerve block catheter management
• Starting and maintaining IVs, phlebotomy
