Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in a dynamic healthcare environment. This position requires a commitment to patient care across multiple facilities in the region.

Shift Details

• Schedule: 3x12-Hour Shifts
• Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Rotation: Every other week

Holiday Requirements

All travelers must work one of the winter holidays, which include:

• Thanksgiving or Black Friday
• Christmas Eve or Christmas Day
• New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing care to a diverse array of patients, including but not limited to:

• Patients with acute and chronic respiratory illnesses
• Post-operative care for general surgery and gynecological procedures
• Post-operative care for total knee and hip replacements
• Orthopedic patients
• Management of acute and chronic pain
• Conditions such as active GI bleeding, CHF, pulmonary edema, and diabetes (both hyperglycemic and hypoglycemic conditions)
• Renal failure and drug overdose cases
• Patients experiencing clinical withdrawal or suicidal tendencies
• Patients with arrhythmias and those undergoing radioactive therapy
• Stable COVID-19 patients

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required
• Experience in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry care is essential
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and NIH Stroke Scale certifications preferred
• Ability to float between multiple facilities as necessary
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Patient Care Skills

The candidate should be skilled in administering various IV medication drips, including but not limited to:

• Heparin
• Total Nutritional Assessment (TNA)
