Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) Nurse in Sioux City. This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care on a general medical and surgical floor, with a focus on post-operative patients requiring overnight stays. The role includes contributing clinical knowledge within an interdisciplinary team to support patient recovery and safety.
Job Details
- Position Description: This role entails working within a general medical/surgical unit, managing post-op patients such as those who have undergone prostatectomy, mastectomy, thyroidectomy, or abdominal surgeries. The nurse will administer Heparin drips and provide bedside care in a Level 3 Trauma Center setting.
- Required Qualifications: Iowa or compact nursing license, active BLS certification (AHA preferred), active NIHSS certification, drivers license, and at least 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week. The assignment begins on 12/07/2026 and concludes on 03/08/2027.
- Additional Information: The role requires working two out of three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years), with limited time off between specified dates. Travelers may be asked to float across local campuses within the same discipline.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must submit a skills checklist specific to Medical Surgical/Telemetry, a supervisory reference form completed within two years, and active licensure and certifications documentation.
