Genie Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Los Angeles, California.

Job Description & Requirements

  • Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry

  • Duration: 26 weeks
  • 36 hours per week
  • Shift: 12 hours, nights
  • Employment Type: Travel

Position Highlights

 

  • Minimum 2 years of Telemetry RN experience required
  • Must be comfortable floating to Med-Surg and other Telemetry units
  • EPIC experience required
  • Must have ventilator experience, including care of chronic/long-term ventilated patients
  • Must be able to interpret cardiac rhythms/strips
  • Local candidates accepted

Required Certifications

  • ACLS
  • BLS

  • NIHSS

  • Average Census: 36
  • Rooms/Beds: 36
  • Night Ratio: 1:4
  • Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults & Geriatrics
  • Telemetry monitoring: On-unit and remote
  • Chronic ventilator patients cared for on the unit
  • Rapid Response Teams available
  • Interdisciplinary support includes Respiratory Therapy, Pharmacy, Radiology, Physical Therapy, Phlebotomy, Social Services, Lift Teams, Transportation, and Unit Secretary
