Medical Surgical with Telemetry Nurse in Illinois This position involves providing care to acutely ill adult and geriatric patients within a Medical Surgical and Telemetry unit. Job Details
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required; CPI preferred
- Education Requirements: Active license in Illinois, with no licensing delay allowed, and a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role
- Location Requirements: Candidates outside of a 75-mile radius are not accepted, and local candidates are not eligible
- Experience Requirements: Minimum 1-year experience in Medical Surgical and Telemetry units, with proficiency in EKG rhythm identification and managing non-titrating cardiac drips
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
- Additional information: This position requires float within the service line and scope, and involves caring for adult and geriatric medical and surgical or infectious disease patients who may require telemetry monitoring for non-acute cardiac conditions. Responsibilities include neurological assessments, pre- and post-procedure evaluations, medication management, and patient monitoring.
