Experience in interpreting dysrhythmias and managing chest tubes is also essential. The patient care environment consists of adults and geriatric patients with diverse needs. Nurses will work in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. There is a requirement for participation in specific protocols, such as heparin protocols and IV insulin protocols. Nurses will also be expected to manage patient care ratios, which range from 1:6 to 1:8.
