Description:
The position is for a Registered Nurse in the Med Surg/Tele specialty.
This role involves working in an overflow capacity during night shifts.
The nurse will be responsible for providing care to patients on the floor and monitoring telemetry patients.
A strong understanding of various procedures and protocols is necessary, including BiPAP/CPAP management and blood product administration.
Experience in interpreting dysrhythmias and managing chest tubes is also essential.
The patient care environment consists of adults and geriatric patients with diverse needs.
Nurses will work in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.
There is a requirement for participation in specific protocols, such as heparin protocols and IV insulin protocols.
Nurses will also be expected to manage patient care ratios, which range from 1:6 to 1:8.
The job involves providing a high level of patient care while ensuring adherence to isolation precautions and PPE protocols.
