Responsible for cardiac monitoring, cardiac drips, and interpreting telemetry strips. Float throughout the hospital to all Med/Surg Tele areas. Telemetry monitoring includes measuring intervals and interpreting strips every four hours. Experience with TR Band is required. Must be able to perform cardiac drips and interpret telemetry strips. Clinician to Patient Ratio: Days and Evenings up to 5:1; Nights up to 6:1. Care for patients in various settings, including medication nursing in acute mental health and care for transfer-ready patients in the ICU. Bed count: 371 beds available in the unit. Census ranges from 8 to 41 beds per unit. Rotation requirements may include shifts from Day to Evening to Night. Experience with the EPIC electronic medical record charting system is necessary. Active certifications required: BLS, ACLS.
