TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Chesapeake, Virginia, 23320!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of two years of recent relevant experience License: Active Virginia or Compact RN license Certifications: BLS through the American Heart Association Must-Have: Previous travel experience preferred Proficient in Epic Description: Responsible for caring for patients in a high-volume post-surgical unit. Assist in the management of post-surgical care for urology and gynecological surgical populations. Must work every other weekend and be available for holidays during the contract. Patient ratios are typically 1:7. All candidates must be pre-closed and comfortable with the patient ratios. The unit requires candidates to have knowledge in various nursing skills, including but not limited to telemetry monitoring, IV management, and wound care. Nursing staff will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy and pharmacy. Continuous bladder irrigation is a special procedure relevant to the patient population. Candidates should have experience with blood product administration and central line care. Ability to interpret dysrhythmias is critical for this position. All submission candidates must meet compliance requirements and background checks are mandatory.
