Charge training and shadowing is offered. This is a 30-bed medical/surgical unit specializing in solid organ transplant and bariatric surgery. Typical patient population includes pre-op and post-op solid organ transplant patients and post-op bariatric surgery patients. Other general medical/surgical patients may also be cared for. This unit has available step-down beds. These beds are not dedicated or reserved and will be filled with medical/surgical patients when there are no step-down patients. While efforts are made to ensure step-down patients go to designated staff, assignments cannot be guaranteed. Traveling staff may be required to care for step-down patients.
