Job Overview
The Med-Surg / Tele RN will provide high-quality care to adult patients with a variety of acute medical, surgical, and cardiac conditions. This role requires strong assessment skills, confidence with telemetry monitoring, and the ability to manage multiple patients in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and reassessments
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms and identify changes in patient status
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments
  • Manage admissions, transfers, and discharges
  • Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team
  • Provide patient and family education
  • Respond appropriately to changes in condition and emergency situations
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation
  • Follow hospital safety, infection-prevention, and quality standards

Requirements

  • Active RN license or eligibility to practice in Maryland
  • Recent Med-Surg / Telemetry experience
  • Current BLS
  • ACLS may be required depending on facility
  • Strong cardiac monitoring and acute-care experience
  • Previous travel experience preferred but not always required
