Description: The Registered Nurse implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person. The RN initiates actions to alleviate patient stress and discomfort and recognizes, responds to, and communicates changes in patient condition appropriately. Ongoing assessment and response to procedures and therapies are conducted and documented according to established standards. Delegation of tasks is managed appropriately while overseeing team members in their patient care activities. The RN monitors the accuracy and completeness of delegated patient care provided by the team. Identifying and addressing educational needs of patients related to prioritized problems is necessary.
