Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in Medical/Surgical and Telemetry to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients with a variety of medical conditions, including specialized care for stroke patients. This position involves rotating shifts and requires the ability to float between multiple facilities as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in an inpatient setting.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and overall health, particularly in telemetry and stroke populations.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and blood products as needed.
  • Manage feeding tubes, central lines, and peripheral lines, including PICC lines.
  • Implement isolation precautions and wound care, including the use of wound vacs.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Adhere to patient ratio standards of 1:5 to 1:6 to ensure safe and effective care.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Medical/Surgical or Telemetry setting.
  • Ability to float between different healthcare facilities as required.
  • Experience with remote telemetry monitoring and direct patient monitoring preferred.
  • Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and National Institutes of Health (NIH) Stroke Scale.
  • Proficient in using EPIC electronic health record system.
  • Experience in managing patients with diverse co-morbidities, including stroke-related conditions.

Schedule

This position will require working three 12-hour night shifts per week, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend and holidays as needed.
