Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Job Details

  • Unit Type: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry
  • Target Ratios: 1:6
  • Shift: Night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15
  • Contract Length: Minimum of 13 weeks with a flexible end date through February 27
  • Hours: Opportunities for 36 or 48 hours per week
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • Float Requirement: Occasionally

Patient Population

The Registered Nurse will care for a diverse population of surgery patients, including but not limited to:

  • Colorectal Surgery
  • General Surgery
  • Hepatobiliary Surgery
  • Orthopedics
  • Urology
  • Vascular Surgery

Required Skills and Certifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
  • Travel Experience: First-time travelers are accepted
  • Skills: IV Start and Telemetry
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Orientation and Training

The position includes a unit orientation period of 36 hours to ensure a smooth transition into the team.

Additional Information

  • Self-Scheduling: Staff will engage in self-scheduling based on unit needs and management input
  • Scrubs: Nurses are required to wear navy blue or white scrubs; scrubs are not provided
  • EKG Testing: Successful completion of EKG testing is mandatory prior to starting
