Must-Have:
Must have 2 years of MS-Tele experience.
Prefer prior neuro experience.
Prefer Alaris and EPIC experience.
Description:
Travelers are expected to float within a designated zone.
The zone covers a 60-mile radius, and travelers must secure housing accordingly.
Shifts may require floating to various units, including MS, Telemetry, and other specialties such as Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, and more.
Patient ratios range from 1:5-6 based on acuity.
Charge nurses do not take a patient assignment unless necessary.
There are designated charge nurses on each unit.
Nurse aids are available, and respiratory equipment such as vents, CPAP, and BiPAP are present.
RNs are expected to read telemetry strips.
Schedules are made by leadership 6 weeks in advance, and travelers must be flexible.
Weekend shifts and holiday rotation may be required.
Cancellation of up to 4 shifts can occur during the contract.
Charting is performed using an electronic system.
Must be willing to float to various acuity levels, including lower acuity holds.
