Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS Telemetry) nurse position is available in the area. This role involves providing specialized inpatient care to patients requiring medical-surgical treatment with telemetry monitoring. The position requires a dedicated and experienced nurse to deliver high-quality patient care within a dynamic hospital environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, starting on 09/28/2026, ending on 01/18/2027, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice, ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS certifications, at least 2 years of recent hospital acute care inpatient experience, including telemetry experience. Must have recent Electronic Patient Medical Records (EPIC) experience within the last year.
  • Clinical Responsibilities: Care for patients with diagnoses such as pre and post coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery, cardiac arrhythmias including atrial fibrillation, pacemakers, CHF, pneumonia, COPD, renal failure, and wound care. Titration of drips like Heparin, Amiodarone, and Cardizem is required.
  • Unit Notes: Call-off policy allows one shift every 14 days per pay period. Orientation includes 8 hours of non-billable classroom and precepted clinical. Nurses must adhere to a zero-tolerance policy for license or background check hits.
  • Team and Staffing: Nurse-to-patient ratios typically 1:6, with flexibility based on staffing and patient acuity. CNA support available with ratios of 1:8-12. Monitor techs are present 24/7, and nurses are expected to read and interpret their own telemetry strips.
  • Shifts & Scheduling: Shifts run from 0630-1900 and 1830-0700. Self-scheduling is available, but initial schedule will be assigned. Minimum of 6 weekends (Saturday or Sunday) required every 6 weeks. Holiday work is at the discretion of management with no holiday RTO allowed.
  • Dress Code & Unit Orientation: Must wear black scrubs (top and bottom). Orientation begins with classroom training on day 1, followed by on-unit preceptor training.
  • Other Details: No call or standby requirement. Staffing assignments are managed via Oracle.
  • Certifications & Experience: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS, minimum of 2 years of recent acute care and telemetry experience required.
  • Additional Notes: All clinicians must clock in and out at the facility. No specific trauma level or BSN requirement.
