Medical Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Medical Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time night shift position. This role requires a commitment to high-quality patient care and the ability to effectively monitor patients in a telemetry setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a medical surgical/telemetry unit.
• Monitor patient vital signs and cardiac rhythms, including performing EKGs as needed.
• Administer IV therapies and perform phlebotomy as required.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records using Cerner electronic health record system.
• Float within units of equivalent or lower acuity levels as required.

Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS certification is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry setting.
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, genitourinary/renal care, and IV therapy/phlebotomy.
• Successful completion of the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.

Work Schedule

This position involves a night shift schedule of 3 twelve-hour shifts per week. Candidates should be available to work every other weekend and every other holiday.

Additional Information

All employees are required to have the flu vaccine prior to start date. Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered under specific conditions.
